    This picturesque community borders Wilton and Westport. It has a population of 10,150 and its two-acre zoning creates a distinctly rural community setting.  In 2011 Connecticut Magazine chose Weston as the number one small town (10,000 to 15,000 populations) in the state.  Almost one-quarter of its 20.7 square miles is set aside as open space, and the Town rigorously protects its residents from commercial development.  Even the Cobbs Mill Inn, one of the oldest dining establishments in Connecticut faced opposition when it recently attempted to add a bed and breakfast to its current facility.  There are a few restaurants, a couple of shops and the rest of the community consists of single-family homes, schools and town buildings.

    Over the years Weston has been home to many celebrities including George Balanchine (Ballet), Bette Davis, Eartha Kitt, Christopher Plummer, Christopher Walken, Justin Long and Keith Richards due to the privacy. Weston has access to Westport’s Beaches and Golf facilities.

    The Weston schools share a 117-acre campus and were awarded and Energy Star Leader designation by the Federal Government.  Weston cut energy costs 28.6% and saves almost $1,000,000/year in energy costs. Both the Middle and High Schools are National Blue Ribbon Schools, and the Elementary School is a State Blue Ribbon School.  The CAPT (Connecticut Academic Performance Test: Math, Reading, Writing and Science) is taken by all Connecticut students in their sophomore year, and in 2006 Weston had the highest score in the State.  In 2006 Weston High School had the highest average SAT scores in the state. In 2012, US News rated Weston High School in its top schools as a Silver Medal School, and showed 69 % taking AP test with 87.6 receiving 3 or better.  A 2005/6 renovation added science and arts wings and new athletic fields to the High School.

    The Weston Commission for the Arts and the Weston Library provide cultural programs. Residents enjoy the proximity to Westport, New Haven, Stamford and New York.  There are local fairs at Churches and the Grange with a festive community Memorial Day Parade and Fair.
